In an effort to enhance the community space of Montpelier’s already vibrant downtown, the city embarked on a pilot program that would allow businesses to inhabit a few parking spaces on the street adjacent to their business. Parklets, or small intentional installations designed within dense city landscapes, allow for greater connection to outdoor areas. With Anomal Design + Fabrication, this steel, concrete and wood parklet was built to offer the customers of Positive Pie restaurant a unique and enjoyable outdoor eating experience. The entire piece is designed to be transported by a tow truck.
