When a super unique project comes along you have to say yes! BETA Technologies is a Vermont based electric aerospace company developing vertical take-off and landing aircraft, and supporting charging infrastructure. Through a good friend, and owner of Filabot and Massive Dimension 3D printing hardware companies, Chris was invited to be the lead designer and fabricator of a coach bus conversion. The bus would be used by BETA to tour the US and share their new aircraft with the public. While the aircraft would make its way by flight, it would land on a custom helipad on top of the bus to recharge each night. The bus contained all the equipment to charge those large batteries, as well as bunks for the crew, a kitchen, bathroom and passenger area.
